State Fire Marshal Deputies (SFM) have arrested a Vinton, Louisiana man for setting fire to a Minden business.
Jordan Tomlinson (36), was booked by State Fire Marshal Deputies with one count each of Aggravated Arson, Simple Arson, and Simple Burglary for setting fire to Pro-Tint in late March 2025.
Webster Parish Sheriff’s Deputies and Webster Parish Fire District 4 responded shortly before 7 a.m. Thursday, March 27, 2025, to a reported fire at 132 Dewberry Lane in Minden. When they arrived they found heavy smoke coming from the business. Deputies pulled Tomlinson from the fire. He suffered smoke inhalation and spent several weeks in the hospital.
State Fire Marshal Deputies determined Tomlinson intentionally set the fire after a domestic dispute between Tomlinson and his ex-girlfriend, the business owner.
The joint investigation with the Webster Parish Sheriff’s Office resulted in additional charges against Tomlinson. Webster Parish Sheriff’s investigators also booked Tomlinson with domestic abuse battery with child endangerment.
