As election season continues, the Minden Press-Herald is clarifying its policy regarding political campaign content in the newspaper and on its social media platforms.
As part of its election coverage, the Minden Press-Herald will publish one announcement of candidacy, accompanied by a photo, for each candidate at no charge.
Other campaign-related promotional content, including candidate events, fundraisers, and similar activities, will be treated as paid political advertising. Candidates and campaigns wishing to promote these activities through the Minden Press-Herald may contact our office for advertising opportunities.
This policy applies to all candidates and campaigns as we work to maintain a consistent and transparent approach to political content throughout the election season.
