Karen’s Korner:
Albert Schweitzer said it best when he penned the words: “What we do with our lives individually is not what determines whether we are a success or not; what determines whether we are a success is how we affect the lives of others.”
One of the ways that we can affect the lives of others is to be involved in the lives of others, especially when it comes to senior socializing. Being a member of the Webster Parish Council on Aging is just plain fun.
Playing bingo, dominos, being in the exercise class, or computer classes, and having a good hot meal Monday through Friday, for only a contribution of $2.00, is a treat as well. The fellowship and getting to know one another develops relationships that are not only meaningful, but it gives the individual that sense of belonging.
There is something to be said for belonging…Come join us at the Webster Parish Council on Aging, and affect the lives of many others, as well as your own… it really helps.
