A visitation for Bernice Virginia Underwood will be held Friday, December 8, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. with a celebration of life service following at 11:00 a.m. at Rose Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden, Louisiana. Interment will follow at Minden Cemetery in Minden, Louisiana.
Bernice was born January 9, 1938, in Minden, Louisiana. She was a lifelong member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church.
Bernice Virginia Underwood, loving wife, beloved mother, and cherished Nana left this life in the early morning hours of December 6, 2023, surrounded by her family. We are rejoicing knowing she is now resting in the arms of her Lord and Savior. She spent many hours nurturing various flowers and plants, beautifying God’s creation. She had a servant’s heart and lived her life dedicated to serving her Lord. Her greatest joy was her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Era and Rueben P. Miller, sister, Martha Wynn, and brothers, Jimmy Miller and Carrol Miller.
She is survived by her husband, Lynn Underwood of Minden; son, Bruce Underwood and wife Tami of Magnolia, AR; daughters, Debra Domerese and husband Marty, of Emerson, AR, and Renee Cottrell and husband William of Minden; grandchildren, Matthew Underwood and wife Kadi, Amanda Underwood, Luke Cottrell, and Hunter Cottrell, and great-grandchildren Walker Underwood and baby sister, Wrenley on the way.
