Bettye Jean Boddie went home to her Lord and Savior on April 22, 2017. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 27, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden with the Rev. Jim Phillips and the Rev. Don Woodard officiating. Interment will follow at Bear Creek Cemetery in Bryceland. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
Bettye was born Nov. 21, 1937 in Jonesboro and was a life-long member of Parkway Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents Yancy and Jeanette King, twin sons Donald and Ronald Boddie and brother Wayne King.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Roy F. Boddie of Minden, son Mark D. Boddie and wife Kathryne of Gilmer, Texas, daughter Tammy D. Hinze and husband Ronnie of Rockport, Texas and daughter Tanya Canto of Corpus Christi, Texas. Bettye was blessed with eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Michael Boddie, Derek Hinze, Brandon Hinze, John Cole, John Ray and Justin Baker.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Parkway Baptist Church in Minden.
