The Minden Fire Department battles a fire at a home in the 300 block of Britt Street Tuesday evening. Owner George McAdams says the fire started at the rear of the home near an electrical box around 8 p.m. Minden firefighters battled the blaze for more than an hour. The exact cause of the fire remains under investigation and no injuries were reported.

Glad no one was hurt
probably some substandard electrical wiring or an overloaded electrical service since that home was built long before Minden had anything but a total joke for an electrical inspector.
