Employees of Bonvenu Bank spent Good Friday giving back to the community, volunteering their time at the Respite Center operated by The Arc Caddo-Bossier during the bank’s annual Volunteer Day.
The event brought together bank employees, residents and families for a day centered on service, connection and celebration. Approximately 100 participants from across the organization’s programs took part in the festivities.
Volunteers from Bonvenu Bank spent the day preparing meals, setting up activities and engaging with families, creating a welcoming and festive atmosphere. The menu featured fish, hamburgers and hot dogs, while attendees enjoyed an Easter egg hunt and a variety of outdoor lawn games.

“For us, Good Friday is about service, compassion and community,” said Jason Smith. “We’re honored to partner with The Arc Caddo-Bossier to support the incredible individuals and families they serve. This is one of the most meaningful days of the year for our team.”
The Respite Center, a longstanding program of The Arc Caddo-Bossier, has served families in the region for more than four decades by providing a safe, supportive environment for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The center offers both in-home and facility-based respite care, giving caregivers time to rest while ensuring their loved ones receive compassionate, high-quality support.
Opened in 1978 as the first facility of its kind in Louisiana, the center continues to serve as a model for out-of-home respite care, offering programs that promote independence, engagement and well-being.
Bonvenu Bank’s annual Volunteer Day highlights the organization’s ongoing commitment to community involvement and service. By dedicating time and resources to local initiatives, bank leaders say they aim to strengthen the communities they serve and support organizations making a meaningful difference.
For those involved, the Good Friday event was more than just a day of volunteering — it was an opportunity to build relationships, share joy and reflect the spirit of service at the heart of both the holiday and the community.
