The Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man in connection with a recent burglary at the St. Jude Dream Home. The arrest has brought closure to the case, and returned the stolen property to its rightful owner.
Detectives identified Christopher Lee Thompson as the suspect responsible for stealing building materials from the Dream Home construction site. As investigators pursued the case, they discovered Thompson unlawfully occupying a residence that did not belong to him.
Thompson was arrested without incident and booked into the Bossier Parish Maximum Security Facility on the following charges:
- Simple Burglary Unauthorized Entry
- Felony Property Damage
Thanks to the swift action of Bossier detectives, almost all of the stolen building materials have been recovered and returned.
Sheriff Whittington commented, “Our deputies take these cases seriously, especially when it involves a charitable project like the St. Jude Dream Home. I am very proud of the thorough work of our investigators, and glad we were able to get these materials back where they belong.”
