Funeral services for Carlton Council of Doyline, LA, will be held 10am, Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Rockett-Nettles Funeral Home Chapel in Coushatta, Louisiana. Officiating will be Brother William Johno. Interment will follow a Clear Springs Cemetery in Martin, LA. Visitation will be Monday, December 10th at the funeral home from 5pm until 7 pm. 

Carlton was born September 3, 1938, in Coushatta, LA, and passed away December 7, 2018, in Hot Springs, AR.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Ethel Council, and his brothers Paul Council, Douglas Ray Council, and Leroy Council.

Left to cherish his memories include his wife of 58 years, Joyce Council of Doyline, LA; three children: daughter and son-in-law, Arlene and Bobby Hanson of Cypress, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Jim Wendell of Hot Springs, AR; and son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Vicky Council of Minden, LA; sister, Bettie Womack of Florien, LA; 6 grandchildren: Kimberly, Jennifer, Kristy, Jonathan, Conner, and Victoria; 4 great-grandchildren: Natalie, Zoe, Kaleb, and Aaron; and a number of other relatives and friends.

Carlton retired from General Electric after 25 years of service following three years spent serving in the US Navy. He enjoyed camping, fishing, woodworking, and traveling with his wife. He loved spending time with his family. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Arkansas Hospice and Lakewood Convalescent Home of Hot Springs, Arkansas.
