Caroll Spurell will be the guest speaker at the Feb. 25 meeting of the Minden Lions Club.
Spurrell, known as Carroll Spruell and guide dog Newton, is an independent-living blind person.
She will speak to the club on her perspective on life, living without sight and how she overcomes any challanges put before her.
The Minden Lions Club meets Thursdays at noon at the American Legion Memorial Home, located at 119 Pine St. in Minden.
