Local officials, along with many from the community, turned out to Jacquelyn Park in Minden Thursday evening for Light of Hope, an event and rally to bring awareness to the needs of abused and/or neglected children. The event was sponsored by Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA).
Sandra Thomas, Supervisor for the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services, spoke about the purpose of Light of Hope. “To keep children safe,” she said.
