Crime given going away parties for National Night Out

Block parties all over Minden were hosted by community members Tuesday to “Give Crime a Going Away Party.” Several events were held across the city, from block parties at neighborhood homes to nonprofit agencies, such as United Way. Law enforcement and first responders made their way through several block parties to meet with the community and get to know the people they serve. National Night Out was established to bring communities across the country together with their local law enforcement, first responders and city officials.
