Crowd turns out for Wings & Wheels at Minden Airport

Clear skies and a strong turnout marked the return of the Wings & Wheels Fly-in and Car Show at Minden Airport on Saturday, September 20.

The annual event drew a large crowd to the airport grounds, where a number of aircraft were on display alongside a collection of cars. Families, aviation enthusiasts and car lovers alike enjoyed the afternoon as food, activities, and exhibits filled the event space.

“We had a great turnout at this year’s Wings & Wheels Fly-In and Car Show,” said Molly Fowler, Minden Airport manager. “About thirty planes and sixty cars came through during the day, and we were thrilled to see such strong support from the community. I’m so thankful for everyone who came out, showed their support, and helped make this event possible. We look forward to an even bigger and better event next year.”

Organizers said the day was a success, with steady attendance and favorable weather adding to the atmosphere. Many visitors spent time walking among the planes, chatting with pilots and admiring vehicles.

The Minden Airport, located at 100 Aviation Drive, is a public-use facility owned and operated by the City of Minden. It is home to the field’s only fixed-base operator, also city-run, which provides both self-service and full-service Titan Aviation fuel.
