by Minden Press-Herald

The Doyline branch of Webster Parish Libraries recently hosted an egg-citing Easter craft event where community members of all ages gathered to paint wooden Easter eggs.

The event, organized by Webster Parish Libraries, aimed to provide a creative outlet for participants while celebrating the upcoming Easter holiday. Held at the Doyline Library Branch, the event welcomed attendees to unleash their artistic talents and transform simple wooden eggs into vibrant and festive decorations.

With paintbrushes in hand and a palette of colorful paints available, participants let their imaginations run wild as they adorned the wooden eggs with intricate designs, bright patterns, and seasonal motifs. From traditional Easter themes like bunnies and chicks to abstract designs and floral patterns, each painted egg showcased the unique creativity and artistic flair of its creator.

“We had a cracking good time at the Doyline Library Branch painting wooden Easter eggs!” exclaimed Webster Parish Libraries in a Facebook post. “Our little artists unleashed their creativity, turning simple wooden eggs into colorful masterpieces to decorate their homes for spring.”

The event not only provided a fun and engaging activity for families and community members but also fostered a sense of camaraderie and connection within the local community. Participants of all ages enjoyed the opportunity to express themselves artistically while socializing with fellow attendees in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

As the Easter holiday approaches, the painted wooden eggs created during the event will serve as charming decorations, adding a festive touch to participants’ homes and spreading Easter joy throughout the community.
