Enter Through The Gate

by David Specht

“We have a strong city; He sets up walls and ramparts for security. Open the gates, that the righteous nation may enter, The one that remains faithful.”  Isaiah 26:1b-2  NASB

For Isaiah and the children of Israel, Jerusalem, the strong city, represented God’s protection in the midst of troubles and His eternal presence with His people.  By going through the gates of the city, they would find security and salvation in God.  In our day people still can find safety, refuge, and eternal salvation in the Strong City of God.   Those who choose to be faithful and righteous must enter the city by faith through Jesus Christ, the gate of salvation.

Lord Jesus, You are my salvation and my righteousness.  By faith I enter God’s City through the cleansing blood of the Lamb of God and find my salvation and refuge.
