Funeral services celebrating the life of Everett B. Payne will be held Friday, August 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Rose Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden, Louisiana. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Minden, Louisiana. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until; 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 20, 2026, at Rose Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
Everett was born February 18, 1936, in Cotton Valley, Louisiana and went to his heavenly home August 16, 2026, in Haynesville, Louisiana.
He was preceded in death by his parents, R.B. and Lola Sellers Payne and wife of 71 years, June Volentine Payne.
He is survived by his daughter, Theresa Payne Keen (Kem), daughter-in-law, Donna Payne, brother-in-law, Jackie Volentine (Jerrie), grandchildren, Jennifer Huson, Meagan McElroy, Brock Hines, Ashley Davis, Catherine Payne, and Laura Payne, great-grandchildren, Jordan and Bailee Miller, Abigail & Emma Huson, Madalyn and Aubrey Poole, Mollie Jean McElroy, Ashlynn, Carson, and Kinsley Hines, Paige and Emily Davis, and Dawson Gish, great great-grandchildren, Jett and Avery Jackson, and Creed, Rowan, and Atticus Miller, and one on the way, Everett Wood Miller and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Pallbearers will be Brock Hines, Kem Keen, Mike McElroy, Jordan Miller, Clint Davis, and Tommy Mitchell.
Honorary pallbearers will be Braxton Thomas and the Webster Parish Sheriff’s Department.
