The Farm-City Prayer Breakfast is set to crack eggs Thursday morning at the Minden Civic Center.
Mike Strain, Commissioner of Agriculture will be the guest speaker for the annual breakfast which recognizes agriculture and shows appreciation to the local farm community.
Jerri de Pingre’, Minden South-Webster Chamber of Commerce President, says coffee and juice will be served at 6 a.m.; breakfast at 6:30 and the program will begin at 7. The cost is $5 per person.
Pastor Dee Anders of First Assembly of God will lead the invocation.
During the program, awards for Outstanding Conservation Farmer, Recognition of Service Award and Recognition of Certified Master Farmers will be presented.
Pastor Ronnie Osborne of Heflin Baptist Church will lead the benediction.
Several individuals, businesses and elected officials have donated turkeys to be given as door prizes.
