Elm Grove – This morning, at approximately 5:00 a.m., Troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop G responded to a single-vehicle crash on Louisiana Highway 154 near Springhill Church Road. The crash claimed the life of a 20-year-old man from Ringgold.
The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2024 Toyota Sienna was traveling east on Louisiana Highway 154. For reasons still under investigation, the Sienna exited the roadway and collided with a tree. Following the crash, the vehicle caught fire and became fully engulfed in flames.
The driver of the Sienna, whose seat belt use is unknown due to the severity of the crash, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Impairment is unknown; however, standard toxicology samples were taken and submitted for analysis. This crash remains under investigation.
While the cause of this crash remains under investigation, Louisiana State Police urges all drivers to obey all traffic laws and remain alert while driving. While not all crashes are survivable, taking simple precautions such as these can often mean the difference between life and death.
