Funeral services for George E. “Eddie” Jones will be held Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden Louisiana with Rev. Rubin Weaver officiating. Interment will follow at Old Sarepta Cemetery in Sarepta, Louisiana. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. Monday, April 16, 2018 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
Eddie was born January 24, 1942 in Cotton Valley, Louisiana and entered into rest April 14, 2018 in Minden, Louisiana. He was a retired engineer with KCS railroad.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Hattie L. “Missie” Jones, grandson Judah Woodard, and one brother.
He is survived by his sons, Gregory Jones and wife Tammy of Sibley, and Todd Jones of Houston, daughter, Tina L. Franklin and husband Jamie of Dubberly, grandchildren, Jacob, Briton, Blake, Brianna, Dustin, Tanner, Braydon, and Gavin, and great-grandchildren, Logan, Hayden, and Stephan, and four sisters and one brother.
