Golf enthusiasts tee off in March Madness Tournament at Pine Hills Country Club

Golf aficionados converged at Pine Hills Country Club on Saturday, March 16, for a day of competitive play at the March Madness Golf Tournament. The event featured a 2-man, 27-hole scramble, shamble, and 4-ball format, promising both a challenging and enjoyable experience for participants.

In the Championship Flight, the leaderboard was tightly contested, resulting in a tie for first place between Kevin Anders and Peyton Wells, as well as Ronny Neely and Denny Parker. Mark Bradshaw and Houston Bradshaw secured the third spot, showcasing their skills on the greens.

The Presidential Flight saw another tie for first place, with Stan Sullivan and Sanjay Patel sharing the top honors with Mike Mills and Jay Kumar. Bobby Logan and Hayston Breedlove clinched the third position, rounding out the flight’s winners.

In the First Flight, Johnny Deloach and Nick Richeleau emerged victorious, claiming the first-place title. Wesley Mandino and Shane Rollins, David Dumas and Rob Valentine, and Bobby Taylor and Justin Smart all tied for second place, demonstrating their prowess on the course.

Event organizers expressed their excitement over the tournament’s success, extending their congratulations to all the winners. They also thanked various individuals and businesses for their contributions, including Josh Hilton with Smokin J’s for breakfast, Lance McGuire for drinks and donuts, Mike Elshout for drinks, Michael Elshout for cooking sliders and Hugh Woods for preparing sliders and pulled pork, Bo Branch for drinks, and Wesley and Peyton for course set up. The tournament committee was also commended for their efforts in organizing the event.

Looking ahead, organizers invited golfers to join them for their Par 3 tournament scheduled for April 13th, anticipating another memorable day on the course.
