All five Webster Parish teams qualified for the playoffs.

Pairings were announced by the LHSAA Tuesday. Under the LHSAA’s new playoff format, the top 24 teams in non-select Divisions I-IV and the top 20 in select Divisions I-IV made the playoffs. District champions automatically qualify regardless of rating.

In non-select Divisions I-III, the first round is now a best-of-3 series. It was a single-elimination game under the old format. Non-select and select Divisions IV and V are still single elimination all the way through.

In non-select Division II, No. 17 seed Minden (18-12) visits Franklin Parish (21-13).

In non-select Division III, No. 14 North Webster (18-10) hosts No. 19 Caldwell Parish (19-15).

In non-select Division IV, No. 5 Lakeside (18-13) received a first-round bye. The Warriors will host the winner between No. 12 Mangham (12-19) and No. 21 Merryville (11-11) in the second round.

In non-select Division V, No. 17 Doyline (9-16) visits No. 16 Simsboro (18-10).

In select Division IV, No. 3 Glenbrook (22-8) received a first-round bye. The Apaches will host the winner between No. 14 Vermilion Catholic (15-11) and No. 19 Delhi Charter (17-8) in the second round.

The best-of-3 series in non-select Divisions I-III can begin as soon as Thursday. The deadline for completing them is Saturday but can they can be extended in case of postponement because of inclement weather.
