Doyline pitcher Noah Spears has signed with Northwestern State.
The school held a signing ceremony for him Friday morning.
The 6-foot-7 right-hander was 4-5 last season pitching against Doyline’s toughest opponents. He had an ERA of 1.382. He had 101 strikeouts in 76 innings.
Spears also batted .393 with five doubles, five triples, four home runs and 27 RBI.
He was named honorable mention on the Louisiana Sports Writers Association Class B All-State team. He was also named to the Louisiana Baseball Coaches Association Division V All-All-State first team and All-Region I first team.
