The Glenbrook Apaches picked up their first victory of the season Tuesday, defeating Providence Classical Academy 12-0 in five innings at Glenbrook.
Elsewhere, Minden suffered its first loss, falling to Haughton 14-4 in five innings at Haughton. Lakeside fell to 2025 select Division IV runner-up Ouachita Christian 20-4 at Lakeside.
At Glenbrook, three pitchers combined on a one-hitter. Starter Carson Powell went three innings. He allowed no hits, struck out eight and walked one.
Braydon Watkins gave up one hit, struck out two and walked one in one inning. Darron Hollingsworth struck out the side in the top of the fifth.
The Apaches had six hits. Eli Still had a two-run double to give Glenbrook the 12-0 lead in the fourth. He finished with three RBI. Hollingsworth also had a double. Watkins and Taylor Cox had two RBI each.
Glenbrook (1-5) hosts Calvary Baptist Thursday at 6. The game was the season opener for PCA.
At Haughton, the Bucs blew the game open with 10 runs in the second. Haughton had three singles in the inning and took advantage of four hit batters, four walks and an error.
The Tide had seven hits. Barron Bower went 2-for-2. Jacob Jefferson went 2-for-3.
Minden (4-1) and Lakeside (2-4) open a three-game series Thursday at 6 at Minden.
At Lakeside, the Warriors trailed 5-4 after two innings. Ouachita Christian took control with eight in the third.
Lakeside had five hits. Gage Williams had a double. Drake Chreene had two RBI.
