The Glenbrook Lady Apaches and Lakeside Lady Warriors opened the season with victories Tuesday.
Glenbrook defeated Byrd 14-4 in six innings at Glenbrook and Lakeside downed Captain Shreve 3-1 In Shreveport.
Elsewhere, North Webster fell to Parkway 15-0 in Bossier City.
At Glenbrook, the Lady Apaches had eight hits. Gabi Brown went 3-for-4 with a home run, double and three RBI.
Gracie Heard and Chloe Gregg had one double and two RBI each. Ellie Earnhardt had a double. Addison Chanler had two RBI.
Savannah Mangrum struck out eight and walked three.
Glenbrook hosts Captain Shreve Thursday at 5.
At Lakeside, Ella Wood struck out 13 and walked one. She scattered six hits.
The Lady Warriors scored one in the first and two in the third. Shreve scored its run in the sixth.
Lakeside had seven hits. Emily Jones and Raleah Harris both went 2-for-4.
The Lady Warriors visit Ouachita Parish Thursday at 5.
