High school baseball: Glenbrook takes first game of series against Zachary

The Glenbrook Apaches opened a three-game series against Zachary with a 5-3 victory Friday night in Zachary.

Seven Apaches combined for nine hits. Landry Powell went 2-for-2. Cason Clemons went 2-for-4.

Toby Haulmark had a double.

Hayden Harmon went six innings for the win. He gave up four hits, walked four and struck out five.

Turner McLelland didn’t allow a hit or run in the seventh.

Glenbrook improved to 13-6. Zachary dropped to 9-11.

The teams are scheduled to play a doubleheader Saturday starting at 1 p.m.
