The Lakeside Warriors notched their first victory of the season Tuesday, defeating Doyline 21-2 at Doyline.
Elsewhere, Glenbrook fell to Class 5A Haughton 7-0 at Haughton.
At Lakeside, six Warriors had hits in the three-inning game. Noah Redding went 3-for-4 with a double and five RBI. Drake Chreene went 3-for-4 with four RBI.
Jake Glass and Brock Case had two hits each. Kaleb Rolen had three RBI.
Starter Gage Williams didn’t allow a hit and struck out five in two innings. Mason Shipp had two strikeouts in the third.
The victory was the first for new Head Coach Chase Spatafora.
Lakeside (1-1) is scheduled to play DeRidder at 11 a.m. and Bunkie at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Minden tournament.
Doyline hosts Mansfield Monday.
At Haughton, the game was scoreless through three innings. Haughton scored four in the fourth, two in the fifth and one in the sixth.
Glenbrook starter Noah Martin allowed four hits and struck out three in four innings. Kleaton Davis gave up just one hit and no earned runs in two innings.
Glenbrook (0-2) starts a three-game series Thursday at Evangel at 6.
