High school baseball: Lakeside, Minden get wins in the Many tournament

The Lakeside Warriors and Minden Crimson Tide won games in the Many tournament Saturday.

Both defeated Bunkie. Lakeside won 9-5 and Minden won 10-0 in five innings.

The Warriors also defeated Zwolle 11-1.

Elsewhere, Glenbrook fell to Benton 10-1 in Game 2 of their three-game series at Glenbrook.

At Many, Lakeside’s Jon Jon Dick went 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBI.

Matthew Aguilera also went 3-for-4. Jordan Isbell and Hunter Sutton had two hits each. Isbell went the distance. He struck out nine.

Sutton pitched a three-hitter against Zwolle. He struck out eight and walked only one.

Dick went 3-for-4 with two triples and three RBI. Aguilera went 3-for-5 with two doubles and four RBI. Isbell went 3-for-4.

Lakeside (5-0) hosts defending select Division IV champion Ouachita Christian Tuesday at 6.

Minden’s Brody Bower pitched a no-hitter against Bunkie. He struck out eight and walked only one. Bower also went 4-for-4 with a double and two RBI.

Zander Rowell went 3-for-4 with four RBI. Landyn Huddleston went 2-for-3 with a double.

Minden (2-0) continues play in the tournament Saturday against Sumner at 1 p.m. and Zwolle at 4.

At Glenbrook, the Apaches had four hits. Starter Easton Sanders allowed four hits and two earned runs in four innings. He struck out nine and walked two.

Glenbrook (0-3) and Benton (4-0) will complete the series Saturday at Benton at 2.
