High school baseball: Lakeside sweeps North Caddo; Doyline downs North Webster

The Lakeside Warriors swept a District 1-2A doubleheader against North Caddo 13-0 and 12-4 Friday at Lakeside.

Elsewhere, Doyline defeated North Webster 8-3 at Doyline.

At Lakeside, Jordan Isbell pitched a perfect game in the five-inning first game.

Jon Jon Dick went 3-for-3 with a double. CJ Watts went 2-for-2 with a home run and two RBI

Matthew Aguilera went 2-for-2. Isbell went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Cooper Chase had two RBI.

Cade Boley had a triple. Hunter Sutton had a double.

Boley went 3-for-3 with a double and three RBI in the second game. Watts went 2-for-2 with a triple and two RBI.

Bradley Dick went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI. Aguilera had two doubles. Chase had a double and two RBI.

Boley got the win. He gave up two hits and walked nine in 3 1/3 innings of relief.

Lakeside closed the regular season 18-13 overall and 6-6 in district. According to GeauxPreps.com, the Warriors are No. 5 in the non-select Division III power ratings. The top eight teams in the final power ratings receive first-round byes in the playoffs.

Official pairings will be announced by the LHSAA Tuesday.

At Doyline, the Panthers only had two hits but they took advantage of eight walks and several hit-by-pitches.

Noah Spears also turned in a strong performance on the mound. He scattered five hits, struck out seven and walked none.

Caysten Mingo smacked a two-run double with two outs in the top of the fourth to give Doyline a 4-1 lead.

Cameron Johnson had a hit and drew two walks. Kenneth Lee also walked twice.

North Webster’s Jase Wesson went 2-for-3 (per Doyline stats).

Doyline (8-16) is scheduled to close the regular season Saturday at 2 p.m. at Bossier.

According to GeauxPreps.com, the Panthers are No. 18 in the non-select Division V power ratings. They will likely be on the road in the first round of the playoffs.

North Webster is scheduled to host D’Arbonne Woods Saturday at 1 before closing the regular season at Wossman Monday at 5.

The Knights (18-9) are No. 14 in the non-select Division III power rating. The No. 9-16 teams in the final ratings host first-round playoff games.
