The Minden Crimson Tide defeated Family Community 9-6 Saturday at Griffith Stadium.
Family Community broke a 3-3 tie with three runs in the top of the fourth. Minden answered with five in the bottom of the frame then added one in the fifth.
The Tide had seven hits. Landon Brewer went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI. Bray Winston went 2-for-3 with three RBI.
Jaxon Smith had two RBI. He also pitched a complete game, allowing two earned runs.
Minden (21–11) is No. 11 in the non-select Division II power rankings. The Tide closes the regular season Monday at Converse and will host a best-of-3 first-round playoff series.
Family Community dropped to 16-9.
