The Minden Crimson Tide and Glenbrook Apaches cruised to non-district victories Friday.
Minden defeated Saline 16-1 at Saline, and Glenbrook downed Montgomery 17-0 at Glenbrook.
At Saline, eight Minden players combined for 11 hits in the four-inning game. Bray Winston went 2-for-4 with a double and six RBI. Landon Brewer went 2-for-3.
Jamal Carey had two RBI. Hudson Brown had a double. Jaxon Smith allowed two hits, struck out six and walked none.
Minden (15-6) visits Doyline Saturday at 1. Saline dropped to 5-3.
At Glenbrook, the Apaches took advantage of nine hits and 10 walks in the three-inning game.
Brayden Watkins went 3-for-3 with a home run and five RBI. Darron Hollingsworth went 2-for-2 with a double and three RBI.
Carson Powell went 2-for-3 with a double. Ryan Reagan had three RBI.
Watkins and Powell combined on a no-hitter. Watkins struck out six and walked one in two innings. Powell struck out two in the third.
Glenbrook (13-10) hosts Arkansas High Tuesday in a 4 p.m. doubleheader. Montgomery dropped to 4-4.
