High school baseball: Minden, North Webster cruise to district victories

Minden and North Webster rolled to home district victories Tuesday.

The Crimson Tide defeated Bossier 16-1 in District 1-4A, and the Knights downed Union Parish 16-6 in District 1-3A.

At Minden, nine Minden players combined for 11 hits in the three-inning game.

Hudson Brown went 2-for-2 with three RBI. Price Miller went 2-for-2 with two doubles.

Elliott Sheppard had a double and two RBI. Landon Brewer had two RBI. Jakobe Jackson had a double.

Brandon Winston gave up just one hit and struck out six.

Minden (14-7, 2-0) continues district play Thursday at Northwood.

At North Webster, the Knights improved to 15-4 overall and 3-0 in district. North Webster hosts Sterlington (13-8, 1-0) Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. in a game that will likely decide the district championship.
