High school baseball: Minden routs Bossier; Doyline rallies past Calvin

The Minden Crimson Tide defeated Bossier 15-0 in three innings in a District 1-4A game Monday in Bossier City.

Elsewhere, Doyline downed Calvin 7-6 at Calvin and North Webster fell to Logansport 9-3 in Springhill.

At Bossier, nine Crimson Tide players combined for 11 hits. 

Brody Bower and Landon Brewer both went 2-for-2 with doubles. Landyn Huddleston went 2-for-3.

Jakobe Jackson had two RBI. Kyler Ray and Bryson Ranger doubled.

Brewer pitched a no-hitter with eight strikeouts and one walk.

Minden (16-7) continues district play Tuesday at home against Woodlawn at 5:30.

At Calvin, Doyline rallied from a 6-2 deficit after four innings. The Panthers scored three in the top of the fifth and two in the sixth.

Six Panthers combined for eight hits. Zach Normand went 2-for-2 with a double. Noah Spears went 2-for-3 with a triple.

Jonas Florence, Austin Arbaugh, Benton Bates and Kenneth Lee all had doubles.

Bates allowed two hits and issued two walks in four innings of relief for the win. Spears struck out four and gave up one hit in the final two innings.

Doyline (10-9) begins a two-game District 1-B series at Quitman Tuesday at 6.

At North Webster, the Knoghts dropped to 10-11. Logansport improved to 11-9.

North Webster visits Lakeside Tuesday at 6.
