High school softball: North Webster picks up two wins; Doyline gets one

The North Webster Lady Knights and Doyline Lady Panthers picked up victories Monday.

North Webster won two games at home. The Lady Knights defeated Wossman 15-0 in a District 1-3A game and North Caddo 17-4 in a non-district game.

Doyline defeated Plain Dealing 14-0 at home.

Elsewhere, Lakeside dropped an 8-7 decision to Choudrant at home.

At North Webster, Anna Ray went 4-for-4 in the four-inning game against Wossman with a home run, double and two RBI.

Anekah Coleman went 2-for-2 with a home run, double and three RBI.

Adryana White, Kensy Brown and Madison Morgan had two hits apiece. White had a double.

Emma Newsom pitched a no-hitter with eight strikeouts and one walk.

Ella Campbell went 3-for-3 against North Caddo. Ray went 3-for-4 with two RBI.

Coleman had two hits, including a home run, and four RBI. White had two doubles and five RBI.

Morgan had two hits and three RBI. Zoe Oremovic had two hits. Kerianne Allen had a double. Newsom struck out 12.

North Webster (8-9, 3-1) hosts Bastrop Friday at 6:30.

At Lakeside, the Lady Warriors rallied with three runs in the bottom of the seventh but came up just short.

Hallie Sutton had a home run, double and two RBI. Emily Jones also had a home run, double and two RBI.

Mackenzie McCoy had two hits. Rhea Waller and Teal Austin had doubles.

Lakeside (11-16) hosts Northwood Tuesday at 5.

At Doyline, Keily Sumlin pitched a no-hitter with eight strikeouts and four walks. She also hit a two-run home run.

Lanie Gates had a double. Arianna Crump had two RBI.

Doyline (12-7) visits Byrd Tuesday at 5.
