High school baseball: North Webster, Lakeside post victories

The North Webster Knights and Lakeside Warriors posted victories Thursday.

North Webster defeated North Caddo 12-2 in six innings in Springhill. Lakeside downed Ebarb 16-1 in four innings on the first day of the Many tournament.

Elsewhere, Glenbrook fell to Benton 10-0 in five innings at Benton, and Doyline lost to Red River 5-4 in eight innings at Red River.

At North Webster, the Knights had 10 hits. Dajuan Coleman went 3-for-3.

Nathan Bernard went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Landon Allen had two RBI.

Bernard stsrted and went three innings for the win. He allowed two hits, struck out three and walked two.

The game was the first of a three-game series. The Knights and Titans are scheduled to play a doubleheader Saturday at North Caddo at 1 p.m.

At Many, Lakeside had 12 hits. Brock Case had a home run, double and five RBI.

Matthew Aguilera went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI. Hunter Sutton went 2-for-3 with a double. Jake Glass also went 2-for-3.

Jordan Isbell had a double. Sutton went two innings for the win. He allowed one hit and struck out four.

Lakeside (3-0) continues play in the tournament Friday with two games. The Warriors take on Bunkie at 3:30 and Zwolle at 6:45.

At Benton, Eli Sanders had a double against the District 1-5A Tigers. It was the Apaches’ lone hit.

Glenbrook (0-2) hosts Benton Friday at 6 in the second game of the three-game series.

At Red River, the host Bulldogs scored on an error with one out in the bottom of the eighth to pull out the victory.

The Panthers led 4-1 after four but Red River tied it with three in fifth.

Doyline had five hits. Austin Arbaugh had two RBI. 

Doyline (0-2) hosts Red River Monday at 5.
