High school softball: North Webster, Glenbrook, Doyline win

The North Webster Lady Knights, Glenbrook Lady Apaches and Doyline Lady Panthers all picked up victories Thursday.

North Webster defeated Plain Dealing 16-0 in four innings at Plain Dealibg, Glenbrook rolled past Downsville 16-1 in four at Glenbrook and Doyline downed Loyola 10-5 at Loyola.

At Plain Dealing, Anekah Coleman went 3-for-4 with a home run, triple and four RBI.

Anna Ray went 3-for-3 with two RBI. Kendall  Tenple had two hits and three RBI. 

Adryana White and Ella Campbell had two hits each. White and Madison Morgan had doubles.

Emma Newsom allowed two hits and struck out six in three innings.

North Webster (3-0) visits Union Parish Friday.

At Glenbrook, Hadley Haynes went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI.

Vivian Still went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and double.

Gabi Brown belted a three-run triple that gave the Lady Apaches a 7-1 lead in the bottom of the second.

Chloe Gregg went 2-for-2. Colby Hollis had two RBI. Rebecca Mosley had three RBI.

Mosley went three innings for the win. She struck out six and allowed three hits.

Glenbrook (3-2) hosts Forest Monday.

At Loyola, Doyline’s Lanie Gates went 3-for-5 with two RBI. Kanyion Bartlett went 2-for-4. 

Keily Sumlin smacked a two-run home run with two outs in the bottom of the first.

Sariyah Gill had a triple. Savannah Stanley had a double.

Stanley and Sumlin combined on a three-hitter with 10 strikeouts.

Doyline improved to 2-2.

On Wednesday, North Webster defeated North Caddo 14-0 at North Caddo.

Ray went 4-for-4 with a double and three RBI. Coleman went 3-for-3 with a home run, triple and two RBI.

Temple went 2-for-4 with a double. Kerianne Allen had two hits, including a double, and three RBI. Newsom and Morgan both had doubles and two RBI. 

Newsom pitched a one-hitter with nine strikeouts and no walks.
