Three parish teams dropped games Thursday night.
Minden fell to Airline 1-0 at Griffith Stadium in a game that was part of the Lakeside tournament. Also in the tournament, Lakeside lost to Cedar Creek 11-1.
In a non-tournament game, Glenbrook fell to Loyola 10-4 in Shreveport.
At Minden, the Tide got a strong performance on the mound from Landon Brewer, who allowed five hits and no earned runs. He struck out nine and walked two.
But Minden managed just one hit off two Airline pitchers. Brewer had the hit, a single.
Airline (4-7) scored the game’s only run in the first, taking advantage of a leadoff single, walk and two errors.
Minden (7-2) continues play in the tournament against Union Parish Thursday at 7 at home.
At Lakeside, Gage Williams had two of the Warriors’ three hits, both doubles, in the five-inning game. Jake Glass drew two walks.
Lakeside (3-8) continues play in its tournament against Byrd Friday at 7.
At Loyola, the Flyers took command early with eight runs in the bottom of the first. Carson Powell had a single and drew a walk.
Glenbrook (2-8) plays St. Mary’s Friday at 6:30 in the Red River tournament.
