The Lakeside Lady Warriors downed Northwood 13-3 Thursday night.
Elsewhere, Minden suffered its first loss, falling to Airline 7-0 at home.
At Lakeside, Emily Jones went 3-for-3 with two doubles and five RBI. Ella Wood went 2-for-4 with a triple and three RBI.
Bray Lewis and Peyton Wood had one double each,
Moose Jernigan pitched 3 1/3 innings for the win. Peyton Wood didn’t allow a hit, struck out two and walked one in 1 2/3 innings of relief.
Lakeside (4-2) is scheduled to play in the Polar Bear Tournament at ULM next. Northwood dropped to 2-2.
At Minden, the Lady Tiders got four hits off Airline All-District 1-5A pitcher Taylor Smith. Kylie Ferguson had a triple and Kaelyn Williams a double.
Lindsay Ryan had a solid performance in the circle. She allowed five hits, struck out five and walked three. Errors hurt the Lady Tiders.
Minden (2-1) visits Saline Friday at 4:30.
