The Minden Crimson Tide routed West Monroe 74-33 Tuesday night at Minden.
Minden (9-6), which has won three straight, opens District 1-4A play Thursday night at Woodlawn. The game was originally scheduled for Friday but it was moved up a day because of the threat of winter weather.
The Lady Tiders also open district play against Woodlawn. Minden fell to West Monroe 63-34 Tuesday.
In other boys games, Doyline edged Providence Classical Academy 51-48 at Doyline and North Webster nipped Bastrop 55-53 in a District 1-3A game at North Webster.
In other girls games, North Webster fell to Bastrop 72-65, Lakeside lost to Winnfield in a District 3-2A game at Lakeside and Doyline fell to PCA.
At Minden, Markavious Johnson led five Crimson Tide players in double figures with 14 points. Cameron Parker, Kameron Harris and Steve Lassien all scored 13. Gerald Richardson had 12.
The game was relatively close at the half with Minden leading 32-26. The Tide dominated the second half, outscoring the Rebels 18-5 in the third quarter and 23-2 in the fourth.
West Monroe dropped to 7-13.
The Lady Tiders (13-9) kept it close against the Lady Rebels for a while. But West Monroe (13-9) began knocking down 3-pointers in the second quarter and closed the first half with a 16-2 run for a 34-20 lead.
At Doyline, the Panthers improved to 15-10. PCA dropped to 6-13.
At North Webster, the Knights improved to 10-7 overall and 1-1 in district. Bastrop dropped to 7-8 and 2-1.
For the third straight game, the Lady Knights went into overtime. The game was tied at 62 after regulation. Bastrop outscored North Webster 10-3 in OT.
ShaKyra Hawkins and NaZaria Caldwell led the Lady Knights (8-10, 0-2) with 22 and 19 points, respectively. LaAsia Thomas added eight.
Alayna Myles led Bastrop (10-9, 3-0) with 23 points, including seven in overtime. Kayleah Wilson hit five 3-pointers and scored 19. Zykerra Broadway added 17.
