High school boys basketball: Minden falls to BTW; Doyline improves to 17-2

The Minden Crimson Tide fell to the Booker T. Washington Lions 61-46 Friday night at Minden.

Elsewhere, Doyline improved to 17-2 with a 52-37 victory over North DeSoto at Doyline.

North Webster opened District 1-3A play with a 68-23 loss to Richwood at home. 

Lakeside fell to 61-25 in a non-district game at home. Glenbrook lost to Ringgold 77-20 in a District 1-1A game at Ringgold.

At Minden, the Crimson Tide led 42-40 after three quarters but were outscored 21-4 in the fourth quarter.

Maurice Rabb led Minden with 17 points. Cameron Parker added 10 and Darnell Morris eight.

Colossian Mason Jones and LaDarrius Frierson led BTW  with 26 and 25 points, respectively.

While Minden (10-5) and BTW (12-6) are both members of District 1-4A, Friday’s game was not a designated district game.

The Tide and Lions face off in a district contest Feb. 2 at BTW.

Minden wraps up non-district play Tuesday against another 1-4A team, Northwood, at home.
