The Lakeside Warriors rolled past the Northwood-Lena Gators 42-6 Friday night at Lakeside.
Lakeside improved to 3-1 with its second straight victory. Northwood-Lena dropped to 1-3.
Lakeside led 21-6 at the half. After a scoreless third quarter, the Warriors put three touchdowns on the board in the fourth.
Six Warriors scored touchdowns.
Jaden Clark sprinted 60 yards for a TD. Brock Case returned a punt 60 yards for a touchdown. He also threw touchdown passes of 20 yards to Brenan Hubbard and 53 to Eric Jones.
Kentravion Miller and Jace Waller scored on runs of 2 and 5 yards, respectively.
Lakeside visits Montgomery Friday. The Tigers (1-3) lost to Grand Lake 62-34 Friday night.
Cedar Creek 31, Glenbrook 8: At Ruston, turnovers played a big role in the Apaches’ District 1-1A loss to the Cougars.
Glenbrook dropped to 2-2 overall and 1-1 in District 1-1A. Cedar Creek, which only won one game last season, improved to 3-1 and 1-0.
After the Cougars scored a touchdown on their first possession, the Apaches drove into scoring position but an interception ended the threat, per the Lincoln Parish Journal.
An interception also set up Cedar Creek’s second touchdown. A high punt snap resulted in a safety and Glenbrook trailed 16-0 at the half.
Cedar Creek quarterback Brett Bell scored on a 42-yard run to give the Cougars a 24-0 lead.
Glenbrook got on the board early in the fourth quarter.
Glenbrook continues District 1-1A play Friday against Plain Dealing at home. The Lions (0-3, 0-1) fell to Class 1A No. 1 ranked Haynesville 70-0 Friday night.
