Glenbrook Athletic Director James Thurman would like to announce Coach Tyler Mann as the new Head Girls Basketball Coach for the Lady Apaches.
Coach Mann joins Glenbrook after serving as an assistant coach at both Cedar Creek High School and Sterlington High School. During his time at Sterlington, he helped lead the program to its first quarterfinal appearance and a co-district championship for the first time in more than a decade.
While at Cedar Creek, Coach Mann worked across multiple levels of the program, serving as head coach for the junior varsity and middle school teams while also helping develop players from the Pee Wee level all the way through high school. He also served as the junior varsity head coach at Sterlington.
Coach Mann is a graduate of Louisiana Tech University, where he earned a degree in Communication and Media Studies along with a Master’s in Education with a concentration in Secondary Social Studies.
“I want to sincerely thank Mrs. Jinks and Coach Thurman for this opportunity,” said Mann. “I’m excited to be part of the Glenbrook community and grateful for the chance to work with these student-athletes. I’m ready to get to work this offseason, focusing on fundamentals and building a competitive program that plays the game the right way. I believe in creating a culture where players compete with purpose and push each other to grow every single day. We’re going to work hard, have fun, and make the school and community proud.”
Coach Thurman added, “We are extremely excited to welcome Coach Mann to Glenbrook. The thing that really stood out during the interview process was his passion for the game along with his attention to detail and fundamentals. We are looking forward to watching our girls continue to grow in both their ability and love for the game of basketball.”
Welcome to Apache Nation, Coach Mann! ❤️💙🏀”
