High school girls soccer: Minden runner-up in Cranberry Classic

The Minden Lady Tiders finished runner-up in the Cranberry Classic tournament Saturday.

Minden fell to Evangel Christian 3-1 in the championship match. The tournament, hosted by Haughton, was held at Bossier’s Memorial Stadium.

Earlier Saturday, Minden edged Haughton 1-0 in the semifinals. It was the Lady Tiders’ second 1-0 victory over the Lady Bucs in less than a week.

Kaydree Kemp scored the goal on an assist from Cameron Smith.

Minden (3-1) is off for the Thanksgiving Holidays. The Lady Tiders return to action Nov. 28 at North Caddo.

Evangel, which defeated Parkway 5-2 in the semifinals, improved to 4-1.
