High school softball: Glenbrook rallies for win, runs record to 8-1

The Glenbrook Lady Apaches tan their record to 8-1 with a 6-5 victory over Central Private Friday in the St. John tournament in Baton Rouge.

Central Private scored two runs in the top of the sixth to take a 5-4 lead. Glenbrook won it with two with two outs in the bottom of the seventh.

Ellie Earnhardt’s single scored Chloe Gregg with the tying run. Gracie Heard followed with a single, scoring Earnhardt.

Gabi Brown went 2-for-4 with a solo home run. Earnhardt went 2-for-3. Heard had three RBI.

Savannah Mangrum went the distance for the win. 

Central Private dropped to 9-2.
