High school softball: Lakeside, Glenbrook reach 20-win mark with victories

The Lakeside Lady Warriors and Glenbrook Apaches both reached the 20-win mark with victories Wednesday.

Lakeside defeated Minden 10-6 at Lakeside and Glenbrook routed Caddo Magnet 16-1 at Glenbrook.

At Lakeside, Lakeside’s Emily Jones went 2-for-3 with a home run, triple and three RBI. Meredith Robinson went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Raleah Harris went 2-for-4. Teal Austin had an RBI-double.

McKenna Chreene struck out nine. Lakeside (20-4), which is No. 2 in the non-select Division IV power rankings per GeauxPreps.com, visits Choudrant Thursday.

Minden’s Tatum Oliver went 2-for-3 with three RBI. Lizzie Balkom went 2-for-4 with a triple. Leigha Kennon Gilbert went 2-for-4. 

Minden (10-14) visits North Webster Thursday.

At Glenbrook, Gabi Brown, Hallie Harmon, Vivian Still and Chloe Gregg all had two hits in the four-inning game.

Brown and Harmon both hit home runs and had two RBI. Brown also had a triple.

Gregg had a double. Colby Hollis had a triple and two RBI. Gracie Heard had a triple. Ellie Earnhardt had two RBI.

Rebecca Mosley allowed one hit with three strikeouts and one walk.

Glenbrook (20-6), which is No. 6 in the select Division IV power rankings, visits Family Community Thursday.

In a Tuesday game, North Webster defeated North Caddo 5-3 in Springhill.

Seven Lady Knights had hits. J’Siyah Bell had a triple and two RBI. Emma Newsom struck out 12.

North Webster improved to 4-8.
