High school softball: Minden, Lakeside, Glenbrook first-round games set for Friday

Three parish teams will open the playoffs Friday.

In non-select Division II, No. 13 seed Minden (17-11) hosts No. 20 Franklinton (10-10) at 4:30 p.m.

In non-select Division IV, No. 11 Lakeside (15-16) hosts No. 22 Northeast (5-12) at 6.

In select Division IV, No. 13 Glenbrook (16-13)  hosts No. 20 Vermilion Catholic (9-8) at 6.

No. 24 Doyline (13-7) visits No. 9 Calvin (17-11) in a non-select Division V first-round game Saturday at 1.

The day and time for No. 19 North Webster’s non-select Division III game at No. 14 Rosepine (16-10) had not been posted on the LHSAA website early Thursday morning. This post will be updated when it is.

First-round games must be played by Saturday.
