High school softball: Minden rallies past Family Community; Lakeside routs North Caddo

The Minden Lady Tiders and Lakeside Lady Warriors won home games Friday night.

Minden defeated Family Community 8-7, and Lakeside downed North Caddo 28-4 in three innings.

At Minden, the Lady Tiders scored six runs in the bottom of the fifth to tie the game. Family Community regained the lead with one in the top of the sixth but Minden answered with two in the bottom of the inning.

Lindsay Ryan had a two-run double in the sixth. After Belle Douglass singled Kylie Ryan doubled to get the Lady Tiders within two.

Kaydree Kemp singled to make it a one-run game. Jacey Adams followed with a single. Annabelle Toland tied it with a two-out single.

Minden (11-9) takes on Castor in an 11 a.m. doubleheader Saturday.

At Lakeside, 15 Lady Warriors made plate appearances. Raleah Harris went 2-for-2 with a home run.

Lexi Wood hit a three-run home run and had four RBI. Kerrigan Davis went 2-for-2 with three RBI. 

Teal Austin had a double and two RBI. Izzy Vise had three RBI. MaKensie Hamiter had two.

Lakeside improved to 8-14.

Elsewhere, Glenbrook fell to Montgomery 11-8 in the Quitman tournament.

Chloe Gregg went 3-for-4 with a triple and two RBI. Vivian Still went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI.

Anna Grace Vining went 2-for-2. Gabi Brown had a double.

The Lady Apaches (13-10) led 8-7 through five innings but the Lady Tigers scored four in the bottom of the sixth. Montgomery improved to 15-5.
