High school track and field: Doyline athletes have strong showing in Class B boys state meet

Doyline athletes had a strong showing in the Class B boys state meet Thursday at LSU.

Senior Michael Wright finished fifth in the 300 hurdles and sixth in the 110 hurdles. His times were 44.03 seconds in the 300 and 18.07 in the 110.

Quitman’s Nathan Harvey won the 300 in 52.68. Castor’s Cordero Clark won the 110 in 16.08.

Junior Tiago Lara finished fourth in the 400 in 53.90. Quitman’s Gage Horton won in 52.38.

Wright and Lara teamed with Cameron Lattier and Gabriel Burns for a sixth-place finish in the 4X200 relay in 1:38.00. Quitman won in 1:33.08.

Senior Zach Moreno finished eighth in the 1,600 in 5:13.16. Horton won in 4:40.69.
