Minden and North Webster won the team titles in the Don Austin Memorial Relays hosted by Lakeside Friday.
The meet was an abbreviated one. No field events were held because of the heavy rain that moved through the area Friday morning.
Minden won the boys division with 72 points. Ouachita Christian was second with 59, Haynesville third with 58 and North Webster fourth with 52.
North Webster won the girls division with 71 points. Lakeside and Cedar Creek tied for second with 70.
BOYS
Minden’s Porter Neal had a big day.
He won the 400 meters and ran on two winning relay teams and one runner-up.
Neal took the 400 in 52.98 seconds, finishing 2.35 ahead of runner-up Silas Williams of Ouachita Christian.
Neal teamed with Cameron Mitchell, JaTyler Barnes and Kaiden Shine to win the 4X100 relay in 44.67. Haynesville was second in 45.78.
Neal, Tyjaveyin McClendon, Brayden Britton and Shine took the 4X400 in 3:45.09. Ouachita Christian was second in 3:47.43.
Neal, Britton, Mitchell and Brian Turner finished second in the 4X200 in 1:33.52. Haynesville won in 1:32.69.
North Webster athletes swept the hurdles.
Kedrien Cody win the 110 in 16.44. Britton was second in 16.98.
Avante Curry took the 300 in 42.49. Cedar Creek’s James Meyers was second in 45.16.
Minden’s Christian Lofton was second in the 800 in 2:24.09. Cedar Creek’s Tanner Andrews won in 2:23.27.
North Webster’s Stephen Merritt finished second in the 1,600 in 5:26.09. Cedar Creek’s Myles Carpenter Head won in 4:49.30.
GIRLS
Doyline’s Izayla Harris was a double winner. She won the 200 in 25.29 and the 400 in 58.34.
Minden’s Madison Kirby was second in the 200 in 27.68. Harris finished 4.70 ahead of runner-up Cara Beth Hill of Cedar Creek in the 400.
Lakeside athletes won three events.
Lexi Bradley took the 1,600 in 5:49.42. She finished 12.72 ahead of runner-up Addie Brister of Cedar Creek.
Madison McGraw won the 3,200 in 16:17.60. North Webster’s Kearah Burns was second in 16.43.63.
Jalacia Roberson captured the 300 hurdles in 1:00.22. She finished .45 ahead of Haynesville’s Kahlia Washington.
Lakeside’s Annie Cooper was second in the 800 in 2:41.29. Cedar Creek’s Madison Morris won in 2:40.05.
North Webster won the 4X100 and 4X200 relays.
The foursome of Tomiyah Hawthorne, Tatyana Lawson, Xhailor McGlothan and De’Maiyh Moore took the 4X100 in 50.96. The Minden team of Pryncess Lathon, Erial Blake, Makaela White and Madison Kirby was second in 52.42.
Moore, McGlothan, Kylee Sanders and Lawson ran a 1:49.19 in the 4X200. Minden’s Lathon, Blake, Kirby and Brooklyn Jefferson teamed to finish second in 1:54.08.
The foursome of Germaya Harris, Sanders, McGlothan and Ja’chiya Harris finished second in the 4X400 in 4:33.51. Cedar Creek won in 4:32.21.
The Lakeside foursome of Bailey Mangrum, Mallory Moseley, Olivia Maxie and McKenzie Chase finished second in the 4X800 in 12:01.50. Cedar Creek won in 11:27.82.
