North Webster won the girls division and finished third in the boys in the North Webster Invitational Thursday in Springhill.
North Webster scored 99 points in the girls division. Haynesville was second with 89 and Sterlington third with 88.
Minden finished fifth with 66 and Lakeside was sixth with 58.
North Webster scored 88 points in the boys division. Sterlington won with 128 and Haynesville was second with 119.
Minden was sixth with 57 and Lakeside seventh with 55.
GIRLS
North Webster won the 4X100- and 4X200-meter relays.
The foursome of Anekah Coleman, Tomiyah Hawthorne, De’Maiyh Moore and Tatyana Lawson took the 4X100 in 52.05. Minden’s Makaela White, Madison Kirby, Alexi Hatter and Pryncess Lathon combined to finish second in 52.79.
Lawson, Xhallor McGlothan, Moore and Sanders ran a 1:50.97 in the 4X200. The Minden foursome of Erial Blake, Brooklyn Jefferson, Kirby and Lathon was second in 1:53.25.
North Webster’s Coleman also won the 100 in 13.13. Homer’s Harmoniee Allen was second in 13:40.
Minden’s Jefferson took the 200 in 27.38. Her teammate Kirby was second in 27.59.
Lakeside’s Lexi Bradley cruised to victory in the 1,600 in 6:14.73. She finished 30.13 seconds ahead of runner-up Addie Brister of Credar Creek.
Lakeside’s Jalacia Roberson won the 300 hurdles in 1:02.85 . Haynesville’s Kahlia Washington, who won the 100 hurdles, was second in 1:06.29.
The Lakeside foursome of Annie Cooper, Bailey Mangrum, Olivia Maxie and McKenzie Chase finished second in the 4X800 relay in 12:20.01. Sterlington won in 12:15.11.
The Minden foursome of Jefferson, Kirby, Kiara Dixon and Mia Feaster was second in the 4X400 relay. In 4:46.33. Cedar Creek won in 4:44.47.
Lakeside’s Chase won the pole vault with a vault of 7 feet. That was six inches higher than runner-up Brooklyn Beach of Sterlington.
North Webster’s Sanders took second in the triple jump with a leap of 29 feet, 8 inches. Sterlington’s Layla Crawley won with a 30-3.
Parish athletes who finished third in individual events were North Webster’s McGlothan (200, 28.88; triple jump, 29-0), Minden’s Feaster (400, 1:11.55), Lakeside’s Cooper (800, 2:58.62), North Webster’s Amiyah White (100 hurdles, 21.31; 300 hurdles, 1:08.99), North Webster’s Moore (long jump, 12-10) and Minden’s Dixon (high jump, 4-4).
BOYS
Minden’s Porter Neal and North Webster’s Avante Curry won individual track events.
Neal took the 400 in 53.04. He finished 2.76 seconds ahead of runner-up DaMondra Martin of Haynesville.
Curry won the 300 hurdles in 42.80. Haynesville’s Isaiah Washington was second in 43.83.
Neal also ran on Minden’s winning 4X400 relay team along with Kaiden Shine, Tyjaveyin McClendon and Brayden Britton. They ran a 3:55.08. Haynesville was second in 4:00.18.
The North Webster foursome of Logan Cleveland, Micah Lorenz, Slade Lockey and Stephen Merritt won the 4X800 in 10:29.85. Sterlington was second in 10:40.72.
North Webster’s Jkobe Lawson finished second in the 100 in 11.19. Haynesville Alonzo Jackson won in 11.05.
Lawson, Curry, Xavier “Tutt” McGlothan and Xaellin Gladney combined to finish second in the 4X100 in 45.72. Haynesville won in 44.87.
Minden’s Neal, Britton, Cameron Mitchell and Brian Turner combined to finish second in the 4X200 in 1:37.37. Haynesville won in 1:34.24.
Mitchell was one of four parish athletes who won field events. He took the long jump with a 19-8. Haynesville’s Martin finished second with an 18-5.5.
Lakeside’s Kentravion Miller won the shot put with a throw of 41-3. Cedar Creek’s Bruce Miller was second with a 39-9.
Minden’s Jonathan Bradford won the discus with a throw of 117-5. Sterlington’s Nicholas Crumbley was second with a 116-11.
North Webster’s Kemaurion Jefferson took the high jump with a leap of 5-4, 2 inches higher than runner-up Chris Brown of Sterlington.
Webster Parish athletes who finished third in individual events were Lakeside’s Jordan Case (400, 57.80), North Webster’s Lorenz (800, 2:38.49), North Webster’s KeAdrien Thirdgill (3,200, 12:12.57), North Webster’s Bryan Briggs (discus, 112-4), Lakeside’s Tarmarjah Ferrell (triple jump, 39-1), Lakeside’s Chad Davis (javelin, 129-8) and Lakeside’s Landon Anderson (high jump, 5-0).
