SHREVEPORT — An in-school suspension facilitator at Northwood High School in Shreveport has been arrested for sending inappropriate text messages to a student.

Caddo Parish Sheriff Steve Prator, in a news release Tuesday, said a 16-year-old girl reported that 24-year-old Thomas Dewayne Humphrey sent her several text messages — some sexually explicit — beginning in 2015.

Prator says Humphrey also attempted to meet with the student outside of the school.

Humphrey was arrested Monday on a charge of indecent behavior with juveniles and computer-aided solicitation of a minor. It was unknown if Humphrey has an attorney who could comment on his behalf.
